Summer tribe approached Hussel Marketing to support them in running paid ad campaigns across social and Google search to drive customer applications to work abroad in the summer. In quite a competitive space, the key would be specificity in targeting and the quality of content being used in the ads themselves.

Whilst social media can seem quite simplistic to run ads, after all the aim of the game for the platforms is to take all of your budget, Hussel had to analyse target audiences and separate campaigns based on the motivations of those potential customers. Once we have this in-depth information we could start to build out audiences, develop content and create copy that would engage and entice them to convert.

Once we’ve got the foundations in place, a paid advertising campaign is a beast that never sleeps. Once our paid advertising specialists build campaigns they then spend the first six weeks heavily optimising and recommending changes they believe could improve conversion rates and levels of engagement. Most platforms also have automated optimisation at play during live campaigns, so it really is tricky business for our team to find the ‘biting point’ for paid campaigns.

We would estimate most types of paid campaigns need a minimum of three months to find their feet and reach optimum conversion rates. Our team keep clients heavily involved throughout the process and regularly report on reach, engagement, conversions and ROAS.
