Going Viral Every Month With FASTSIGNS TikTok – Creative Social Content
At Hussel Marketing, we’re no strangers to shaking up the norm, and when FASTSIGNS Manchester decided they wanted to stand out, we knew just the trick. After all, this isn’t your typical B2B signage company, and we’re not your typical marketing agency.
This case study focuses on one particular aspect of our ongoing retained marketing strategy with them—grabbing attention through social media.
The Creative Challenge
We’ve been working with FASTSIGNS for nearly two years, handling their creative B2B marketing, but this time last year, we wanted to see if we could make a splash on social. So, we pitched the idea of getting creative with TikTok.
Not just any content though—content that would be unique, entertaining, and totally unexpected from a company in this space.
At first, things were cruising along—views were creeping up, but we knew we could take it further. And then it hit us: why not let people request what they love and FASTSIGNS would create a custom sign for them?
Suddenly, we weren’t just making signs; we were making social gold.
Execution and Solution
Once we opened the floodgates for requests, the account absolutely took off—almost overnight! Fans started asking for signs of their favourite singers, bands, football clubs, hockey teams, F1 drivers—you name it, they requested it, and FASTSIGNS delivered.
We went from 5-10k views to 50-100k views a month, and the comments poured in. The TikTok account blew up, turning FASTSIGNS into an unlikely viral sensation.
Thousands of people across the globe were engaging with the content, and FASTSIGNS Manchester became the go-to for fan-made signs.
We even grabbed a cheeky bit of press, proving that TikTok isn’t just for influencers or dance trends—it’s for sign makers too!
What FASTSIGNS had to say…
“It’s been a blast working with Lewis and the Hussel Marketing team since the start of 2023. Lewis brings a new dimension, thought process and a level of Marketing expertise that we just don’t have in our current business setup.
Lewis has become a welcome extension to our business. We have been encouraged to embrace marketing best practices whilst being pushed out of our comfort zone and all this has raised the profile of our business across multiple platforms” Nick Ratcliffe, Director
Results
Now, let’s get to the juicy stuff:
– 493,000 views across the year, starting with an average of 200 views a month previously.
– 31,000 likes, 6,200 comments, and 775 shares—from everyday people who probably never thought they’d get excited about signage.
– People going wild, wanting their own personalised signs, creating a hype that is pretty much unheard of in the B2B signage space (even in 2024)
– We even snagged some press coverage—because who knew B2B print & signage could be this cool?
Conclusion
FASTSIGNS Manchester didn’t just grow their following—they became a cheeky social sensation.
It goes to show that an industry where most would turn their nose up at the thought of using TikTok, it can pay to take a risk and try something nobody else will.
